LinkedIn Job Search Hack: Be Among the First to Apply for Any Job

We appreciate how tough it may be to monitor job vacancies, particularly when you learn about them only hours later when many candidates have already submitted their applications. This is the reason why we wanted to share this trick that we find great, with you all!

The early bird gets the worm and in any job searching scenario, being one of the first people to submit an application is crucial.

Please follow the below mentioned steps:

  1. Go to LinkedIn Jobs, select your location, and enter search terms.

For example, if you’re aiming for an entry level or fresher roles in software engineering field, you would try like below:

    👉 “Software Intern”
    👉 “Software Graduate”
    👉 “SDE 1”
    👉 “Associate Software Engineer”

Similarly come up with your job related keyword(s) and use them.

  2. Use the “Posted in the Last 24 Hours” filter and click on “Show Results
Copy the URL from your browser.

  1. Look for this in the URL: “f_TPR=r86400” (it represents 86400 seconds = 24 hours).

  1. Change this to something shorter. For example:

👉 “f_TPR=r1800” (jobs posted in the last 30 minutes)
👉 “f_TPR=r3600” (jobs posted in the last hour)

Hit Enter and see the freshest job postings before anyone else! You will observe that the number of search results are now reduced filtering 99% matching to the posting time.

With this hack, you’ll often catch roles within minutes of them being posted— far earlier than the default LinkedIn behavior.

Combine this with filters like remote jobs, specific industries, or countries to refine your results even further! Good luck!
